A sunflower T-shirt grown from real maths: 700 seeds placed by the golden angle, drawn in amber, gold and yellow on a dark shirt, warmest at the heart and brightest at the rim, like a real sunflower head.

Each new seed grows about 137.5° round from the last. That golden angle is as far from a simple fraction as a number can be, so the seeds never line up into straight rows and no space is wasted. Look closely and spirals curl both ways. Count them and you'll find Fibonacci numbers, just as on a real sunflower or pine cone.

The seeds follow Vogel's model, with each seed's distance from the centre growing as the square root of its number. Part of The Prism Collection: our white originals, split into colour. Summer sunshine you can wear all year round.

A useful tip is to compare these measurements with one of your own garments at home by measuring it similarly.

A Length

Begin at the collar on the top (high point shoulder) and draw the measuring tape down to the garment's bottom.

B Width

Start the measurement at the seam right below one sleeve and extend the tape across to the seam underneath the opposite sleeve.

C Sleeve length

Position the tape at the top of the set-in sleeve and extend it down to the sleeve's hem.
