About Doppler Effect Industries

Doppler Effect Industries makes geometric t-shirts inspired by mathematics, physics and nature. We’re fascinated by the patterns hiding in plain sight, like the fractals in a coastline, the spirals in a shell and the ripples in a wave, and we think they deserve to be worn, not just filed away in a textbook. The name comes from the Doppler effect itself, the way a siren’s pitch shifts as it rushes past. It’s a small piece of everyday physics that makes the invisible audible, and that’s the idea behind everything we make.

Every design starts as a real equation. Rather than drawing patterns by hand, we compute them. The Hilbert curve is a space-filling path folded into a single unbroken line. The Penrose tiling never repeats. The Sierpinski carpet is built by recursion. Our pendulum ensemble simulates chaos: fourteen almost identical pendulums that drift apart into completely different paths. Add Voronoi and Delaunay meshes, spirograph curves and a swirling spiral vortex, and you have maths and physics t-shirts where the science is the art.

Whether you’re a student, a teacher, an engineer, or just someone who likes clever things that look good, we hope you’ll find a design that makes you smile or starts a conversation.
